Site Work

Site Prep and Concrete Planning

The ground work decides how smoothly install day goes. Here's what to sort out before the steel arrives.

Access and staging

Delivery and install equipment needs a route in and room to work. Soft ground, tight gates, low limbs and overhead lines are the most common day-of surprises.

Level, drainage and slab

A level, well-drained pad protects the structure and everything in it. Decide early whether you're setting on a slab, piers or ground anchors, because the foundation affects how the building is detailed.

If you're pouring concrete, the slab dimensions and anchor layout need to match the building drawings — we coordinate that with you so the two line up.

Utilities and permitting

Route electrical, water and any drainage before the slab goes in if you can. Permitting requirements differ by city and county; confirm with your local authority, and we'll supply the building details you need for the application.
